ANCIENT AND SOMATIC PRACTICES FOR MODERN WELL-BEING
Hi, my name is Carol das Neves, and I am a Holistic Health Educator and Somatic Therapist who focuses on ancient knowledge and practices such as meditation, Ayurveda, breathwork and mindfulness techniques.
I have been trained in a variety of ancient traditions, including astrology, Vedic philosophy and meditation, breathwork, and Ayurveda, for which I am certified and accredited. I’m currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Psychology and Neuroscience of Mental Health at King’s College London. Prior to my journey into holistic health, I completed a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Development Studies in London, where I resided for 15 years with my children.
As a Holistic Educator, I aim to provide you with the tools for a lifestyle that enables your innate healing abilities.
I teach and guide a variety of meditation techniques for individuals and groups including Introduction to Meditation and Primordial Sound Meditation, a Vedic meditation practice and curriculum shared by Dr. Deepak Chopra for over 30 years which assign individuals a personal mantra and instruct them how to meditate.
I am also equipped to present fundamental concepts in Vedanta, including theory, history, traditions and principles for a variety of groups and levels of practices in meditation, pranayama and self-care techniques, guiding individuals towards optimal health and well-being.
I was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil into a family of Portuguese immigrants. My childhood in Rio was both marked by trauma as well as profound moments of connection.
I moved to London in 2010 to study Politics in an attempt to join the struggle for a more just society. At that point, I realised the world can only change through the level of each individual’s consciousness and that coming back to the source is the way to liberation. And so my own journey to overcome trauma and chronic stress began. Now, my goal is to share these transformative practices with you in order to enhance your mental health and well-being, while also continuing to evolve with my studies and personal practices.
My ancestors are the Amazigh people of North Africa, and their ancestors have lived in the region for over 12,000 years. The Amazigh people through the years have demonstrated to have a great connection with the land and their traditions. Amazigh means "the free people" in their language.
